Why not rewrite the FAQ?

• I've tried but I've encountered objections
• Objections to mentioning the eval even though
  • One could then warn of the dangers
  • The existing solution uses eval so half the arguments apply already
• Objections to retaining the existing solution and thus making the answer too complex
• Objections to removing the existing solutions
• After 5 rejected patches I gave up
• I'm now considered such a heretic that all my suggestions are rejected
  • Fix the error trapping
  • Remove the bogus "see also..."
• But enough of that... this isn't supposed to be an outpouring of bitterness
